The pendant is 9ct gold filled and the chain is 9ct gold plated 925 sterling silver. So if given the right amount of care, the colour shouldn't fade. The locket has two glass panels on either side but the locket is not water tight so don't get the necklace wet to preserve the paper scenes inside the locket.
The locket measures 17mm x 17mm and is 6mm thick, on an 18" gold plated diamond cut anchor chain, so it sits very nicely just below the collarbone.
All paper has been cut by hand.
