An elegant take on the moving owls, these framed paper cut sculptures measure 19 x 14 x 9cm and each one is unique. 

Using a deep box frame and hand cut paper I created the illusion of movement, making these owls look like they are flying out of the boxes.

Inspired by 'Crossing The Owl's Bridge' I am creating a new line of small owl pieces. Some move and some are still but all are unique.

There is something mythical about owls that fascinates me to no end.

Moving Mythical Owls

With the turn of a handle these owls come to life! Using hand cut paper sculpture and small automata mechanisms, these mini mythical owls flap their wings almost as if they were to fly out of the frame.
